This place is the pretties place in the world! This week the leaves are crazy beautiful! It looked like tie dye everything! I have never seen such a beautiful place! I am literally dying just looking out the window! Ahhh!
Okay so Wednesday we took Coco to come team up to the lesson with bell! So we had our two China dolls meet each other! They connected instantly! It was the cutest thing in the world! Ah! During the lesson we were fighting back tears because coco was just teaching away! Bell wanted to know what made us different from all the other Christian churches and coco turns to us and says, “Have you talked about the word or wisdom yet?" Then just explains how we are difference because of the word of wisdom and modern day revelation! It was awesome! And bell loved it! She was like this all just makes sense! Then we were explaining the apostasy and the priesthood authority and coco comes out with this perfect comparison to things that are happening in Buddhism and bell understood perfectly! Coco is incredible! I just love these two sooo much!
Thursday we contacted a member referral that they were sooo excited to give. We knock on the door and the lady just starts yelling to turn around and walk away. We were so confused and honestly I was terrified! She said to get off the property until she sees a soliciting license! So we tried to explain that we have ministerial certificates and that the Harmons sent us here to meet them. She opened a tiny bit and said that she just has to be careful because solicitors will sometimes break into their homes and cars. So we ended on a good note and walked away. We were talking with the Harmons about it after and then Sister Harmon gets a text from her to tell us sorry! Strangely enough sister Shaffer and I have a really good feeling about her! We feel the spirit every time we think about them! So we are working with the Harmons to get them to warm up a bit more! Haha!
Thursday night we had a lesson with the Georges! They hadn't kept their reading assignment so we read it with them! It was Alma 32! It was perfect for them and John even opened up and said that he is so hesitant to be baptized because he has already lost faith in the church he previously went to and he doesn't want to have that happen again. He wants to be absolutely sure before he makes the covenant. He even talked about the priesthood lesson and they discussed why recent converts fall away so quickly. He doesn't want that to be him. We reminded him as well that it is a continual act of faith. As he keeps it growing he will never lose the faith. And we referred back to the seed analogy the scriptures made! The kids loved the scriptures too! We committed them to read and pray as a family daily and put the kids in charge of making sure it happens! They all came to church this week too!
Well I know this is abnormally short, but I am at a loss of thoughts and words today! What I do know and can say is that I love each one of you! I love this gospel and I love sharing it! I love seeing people change and make steps toward becoming like the savior. I know that as we do follow the savior we are blessed. We are happy, and we have full hearts.
41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it. (Mosiah 2)
Never ending happiness....it is soooo worth every sacrifice! As we draw closer to God and Christ all there can be is joy!
Have a good week! Spread the gospel to the world! Here is a quick idea on how you can this week: create a Mormon.org profile and link it to your Facebook! Then ask 2 friends (preferably nonmembers) to review it and give you feedback on what you have posted about yourself and your testimony!
I love you all
